Assumes 1,000 uncached input tokens and 200 output tokens per conversation minute, with equal voice-session and conversation duration. Longer instructions, conversation history, tools and reconnects can increase usage. No caching discount is assumed.

What changes the total?

Your AI setup

Voice and reasoning models have different rates. Burki charges provider usage at cost, without a service markup. Longer conversations and larger instructions can use more model tokens. Review the estimate for your setup before going live.

Your phone connection

Phone calls add carrier charges and number rental. Standard managed numbers also have a $1 per number monthly management fee. Route, destination and carrier affect the price.

Your provider accounts

If you connect your own supported provider accounts, those providers bill you directly. Burki’s platform charge still applies; external provider charges are separate from your Burki balance.

How much does an AI receptionist cost for a small business?

Build an estimate from your expected call count, average duration, selected AI configuration and telephone route. Include number rental and applicable platform charges. Use the calculator for planning, then check the rates shown in your workspace; a per-minute headline alone is not the complete bill.

How should I budget for an AI answering service?

Separate ordinary hours, overflow and after-hours calls so the estimate reflects the coverage you need. Allow for test calls and longer conversations, and review cost per useful completed request alongside total spend. Follow-up work by your team remains an operational cost.

What can I try for free?

Eligible accounts can practice in the browser without a credit card. Your workspace shows eligibility, remaining allowance and availability. The trial covers bounded browser practice, not unlimited telephone calls, number rental or real calendar bookings.

Why isn’t there one price for every call?

Voice usage can include platform, model, speech and telephone charges. Provider usage is charged at cost, without a service markup. Your account configuration determines the applicable rates. Speech-to-speech and separate speech/model configurations have different usage units. Check your workspace estimate for the selected setup.

What will I pay when I connect a number?

Phone numbers can have recurring carrier and management charges. Review those charges before connecting a number. Calling adds route-dependent carrier usage. Confirm the rate and recurring fees before proceeding.

What happens with my own provider accounts?

Supported provider credentials can be connected to Burki. Those providers bill you directly, and their charges may not appear in Burki’s total.

Is an estimated charge the final bill?

No. The calculator is a planning example. Actual model usage, connected time, phone charges and your account’s rates determine what you pay. Review each call’s cost in your workspace.

How do I compare Burki with another platform?

Compare the complete cost for the same scenario: model and speech usage, platform charges, telephone usage, number rental and management fees. We do not claim a verified savings percentage.
